The Rochester Police Department Honor Guard has 18 Sworn, Full-time members. Honor Guard members practice once per month and one, three day training session each fall. The Rochester Police Honor Guard was formed to pay tribute and respect to our fallen brothers and sisters. Some of the functions we perform are:
- Firing Detail ( 21 gun salute)
- Casket Guard
- Flag Folding
- Colors Posting and Retrieval
- Color Guard
- Bagpiper
The Rochester Police Honor Guard was formed in 1996 and has performed at dozens of events including:
- Line of Duty Funerals
- Parades
- Civic Celebrations
- State and Local Law Enforcement Memorial Services
- Patriotic Celebrations.
