Filing Dates
8 am to 5 pm, Tuesday May 18, 2010 to Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in person at the City Clerk's office, City Hall, 201 4th Street SE, Rochester MN 55904.
Please note: The City Clerk's Office will be CLOSED on Monday, May 31.

Withdrawal of Candidacy
If a person files for an office, and later decides to withdraw from candidacy, an affidavit of withdrawal of candidacy must be filed in the City Clerk's Office no later than 5 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2010.

Qualifications for Mayor:
- Must be a resident of the city of Rochester for at least 30 days prior to filing for candidacy for the office.*
- Must be a qualified voter in the State of Minnesota.*
- Candidates filing for office must be 21 years of age or more when the oath of said office is taken. (Oath of office will be taken on the first Monday in January, at the first Council meeting, on January 3, 2011.)
- Candidates may not file for any other office to be voted on at said Charter Election to be held on November 2, 2010.

Qualifications for 1st, 3rd, or 5th Ward Councilmember:
- Must be a resident of the ward for which the person is running for at least 30 days prior to filing for candidacy for the office.*
- Must be a qualified voter in the State of Minnesota*
