Minimum state building permit surcharge changes for a year

The Minnesota Statutes § 326B.148 "SURCHARGE" has been changed for one year effective July 1, 2010, until June 30, 2011. The minimum surcharge for a "fixed fee" permit is $5, beginning July 1, 2010.  This means a residential footing and foundation permit will be increased from $100.50 to $105.00.  The remainder of the surcharge law did not change.
(Please Note:  The City of Rochester has not increased our permit fees at this time.)
